Our Mission:

"To teach how GOD

wants His people to react to

Creation and everything  in it

What is Zion

Zion is a special place the LORD has created for his people to enjoy, where they can slow down, relax and commune with HIM through nature. A 1350 acre combination of rolling hills, green fields, sparkling ponds, beautiful sunsets, woodlands filled with deer, turkey, raccoon, ground hog, ducks, geese, and scores of birds await you.

Our 27 acre lake and 18 ponds are filled with many species of freshwater fish. They include trophy-size Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Bluegill, Carp and other Pan Fish.

Nature trails, woodland paths, and wildlife viewing areas are just a few spots you can enjoy and take pictures.  This is all entwined within a cattle farm, where calves and mothers can be seen grazing.

A 3600 sq. ft. pavilion, right on the lake is available for special gatherings and scores of events. Restrooms, showers and a warming kitchen are available at the site.

Our facility is not another Church. It’s a Non-Denominational Retreat and Nature Center that is available to any Christian Church or Organization for outdoor events. It is also available for community or group events in keeping with our Mission Statement.

The quiet and peacefulness is a perfect setting, for personal Worship, Prayer and Meditation. God’s Creation is awesome when we take the time to experience it. ZION is truly a little piece of heaven here on earth.

ZION has been set aside from now to eternity for God’s people to use and enjoy. It is to be kept in this state according to our bylaws. A board of trustees administers Zion. An advisory board will help in suggesting programs and future directions according to God’s will.

Zion is for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest. God can touch each of us in a special way, if we let him. Programming is in the formable stage now and we will keep our web page updated.  Check it often.

God blessed Zion with a bare, rough looking spot along the lake...

Most of us are so accustomed seeing buildings that we forget how much work goes into making them.  All of those complexities were multiplied when the pavilion was started on a small piece of semi-flat land near Lake Zion.  Despite the hurdles of weather, of building near a lake, of building away from sources of energy, and of coordinating with different governmental agencies, God has blessed the building of the pavilion.

...that became a construction area

...and then a beautiful pavilion
